The Hackney Bumps

The skate park by Daubeney Fields was built in 1986, but over the years it started to crack up and the surface became very rough, so a passionate group of local skaters called Hackney Bumps Community decided to regenerate it. More work needs to be done but they can’t afford to pay out of their own pocket anymore, so they have started a crowdfunding. It is definitely a cause worth supporting and it’s worth mentioning that before corona hit they were teaching kids skating for free, which they will re-introduce once it is safe to do so. It is community project led by local people for local people.
